Dear Students,
Welcome to 5th grade. I'm very glad you are in my class this year. We will be doing many new and exciting things.
You are no longer a primary student, so being a 5th grader means some changes to your schedule. We will not have a morning and afternoon recess. Your recess will be at noon. If you choose, you will be going to Band 3 days a week. We will also have D.A.R.E., Health, and Computer.
We will be changing classes this year. You will have Mrs. Myers for Math and English, and Mrs. Larson for Science, Reading, Spelling, and Social Studies. We are very excited about this new schedule.
I hope this will be a special year for you. Please feel free to come and talk to me if you have any questions. Remember no question is silly! I'm here to help. I will always be a good listener.
